GUIDEPOINT RECOVERS STOLEN VAN WHILE OWNER WORKS

Recovery is "all in a day's work" for GPS tracking & telematics service

SCOTTSDALE, AZ. - Recovering stolen vehicles is turning out to be, quite literally, all in a day's work for Guidepoint.

That's good news for a Glendale, Ariz. woman, who woke up on Thursday and discovered her 2004 Kia Sedona minivan missing. While she was late for work due to her missing minivan, the Kia owner got her Sedona back before it was time to punch out at day's end.

The recovery was handled by Guidepoint Systems, a vehicle tracking and convenience service sold at 400 car dealers nationwide. Guidepoint uses GPS satellites, wireless technology, the Web and 24/7/365 response centers to track stolen vehicles and provide services such as driving directions, emergency dispatch and roadside help.

In Thursday's recovery, the Glendale resident called the Guidepoint Response Center at approximately 7:20 a.m. With a few mouse clicks on its proprietary network site, Guidepoint located the vehicle in Scottsdale, more than 25 miles away. Response center personnel contacted the police departments in Glendale and Scottsdale to provide information on the vehicle's make, model, and VIN, as well as its location, direction and speed. Within a few hours, Scottsdale police called Guidepoint to say they had located the car. With no suspects around, the police conducted an investigation and made arrangements to return the minivan to its owner.

At Guidepoint Systems we strive to provide the total driving solution, from upgrading your service plan to purchasing special services. We hope your GPS visit is simple and fun.
