If the Worst Happens ...

It's May, and for most of us, especially in the Midwest and on the East Coast, it means that winter weather is finally gone. But unfortunately, as we can see by what's happened in Nashville and the surrounding areas, bad weather doesn't always follow a schedule. Our thoughts and best wishes go out to those who have lost loved ones, property and belongings during this catastrophe. We sincerely hope for a speedy recovery.

Communication is so important in an emergency, and that's why we've recently increased the size of our Call Center in Ft. Worth, Texas. Our new 8,800-square-foot facility dramatically increases our capability to answer calls quickly, and be there with help, guidance and assistance when you need us. For everyone here at Guidepoint, the products we offer are only a small piece of the puzzle. It's our service and ongoing comunication with you that matters the most.

This month's newsletter features other communications resources that keep you in touch with your vehicle. Our engineers have created some great "apps" (short for "applications") for Apple and Android-based smartphones (like the Motorola Droid) that allow you locate your Guidepoint-equipped vehicle with satellite precision. It's perfect for keeping track of teen drivers when they borrow your car. And of course, you can do the same from any Internet-connected computer.

Every month, we're also featuring stories from you about how Guidepoint has helped, whether it's recovering your stolen vehicle, getting you out of a roadside mishap, or ordering flowers for your spouse for the anniversary you almost forgot. If you have a story, you can e-mail it to us at stories@guidepointsystems.com. We would love to hear from you.

We sincerely hope that our products and services offer you peace of mind. But if the worst happens, rest assured we're only a button push away. Stay safe!
