Hello All,

We are glad to see that many of you have taken to the roads this summer for vacation! I’ve been doing a little extra traveling myself, on business trips and seeing the family out West. The East Coast kicked off summer with above normal temperatures, and now the rest of the nation is into full-swing summer heat. But no matter what happens, whether it’s heat, freak thunderstorms or road mishaps, I feel secure knowing I’ve got Guidepoint behind me. I hope you do, too!

We’ve been hearing, based on different statistics, that auto theft has been declining steadily year after year—six straight years, in fact, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB). This is due to better design of vehicle security systems and increased driver awareness, and many states are saying the decrease has caused auto insurance rates to go down. But don’t let this lull you into a false sense security. Despite the declines, cars are still being stolen, and nationwide statistics don’t matter much when vehicle theft happens to you or someone you know. So stay aware of your surroundings, lock your car and arm your alarm. And if the worst happens, call on us.
