DETROIT, Mich. — March 25, 2020 — Guidepoint Systems today announced it will begin offering automotive dealerships a patented and proven solution for cleaning and disinfecting their rental cars, loaner vehicles, used and new vehicles.
The Detroit-based supplier of telematics and other aftermarket services said it has forged an alliance with Coral Springs, Fla.-based PermaSafe, a national supplier of vehicle disinfection and antimicrobial products. Under the alliance, Guidepoint will supply PermaSafe solutions to new and used car dealerships nationwide, including those that sell Guidepoint stolen vehicle recovery, driver convenience and telematics products.
Permasafe is an eco-friendly, EPA-approved antimicrobial surface and air protectant that eliminates 99.9% of bacteria, viruses and other harmful microbes, as well as odors and allergens. Designed for vehicles, the PermaSafe System starts with an initial disinfection of the vehicle’s passenger cabin, air-ventilation and ductwork, trunk and cargo areas. Once the vehicle’s interiors are cleaned, disinfected and deodorized, the patented antimicrobial surface protectants are applied with specialized “fogging” equipment that provides complete coverage for every surface.
